Myth 1: 2,000 Muslims were killed in the Gujarat riots

Fact: As per figures given by the Union Minister of State for Home Shriprakash Jaiswal, who belongs to the Congress Party, in Parliament on 11 May 2005, 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus were killed in the riots, 2548 people were injured and 223 people were missing. The report placed the number of riot-affected widows at 919 and the number of children orphaned at 606. The UPA government gives these figures, and hence they themselves may be inflated.
The editorials of the national English dailies, and the articles published from the freelancers on the newspapers’ editorial pages are nothing but a pack of lies, akin the autobiography of Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf, “In the Line of Fire”. Newspapers like The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, etc. continue to publish articles saying, “Win in Assembly elections of December 2002 does not whitewash Narendra Modi’s sins of the Gujarat pogrom of 2002 when 2000 innocent Muslims were butchered” or “The Gujarat pogrom of killing thousands of Muslims did not help the BJP in the long term” etc. etc.
All these numbers again came into the picture when Narendra Modi was denied a US diplomatic visa in March 2005 by the USA and his earlier tourist visa, issued in 1998 was revoked just one day before his scheduled visit to the USA. Why the USA took as many as three years after the Gujarat riots to revoke Modi’s earlier visa is not known.
But these numbers are nothing but a pack of lies. The number of Muslims killed in the post-Godhra riots is inflated and exaggerated to unimaginable levels. Let us see the interview given by the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to Aaj Tak’s Prabhu Chawla, excerpts of which were published in the weekly India Today, dated 4 November 2002:
“Q- Your opponents call you ‘Jinnah of the Hindus’.
A- I am hearing this for the first time though I still don’t consider you as an enemy.
Q- You are held responsible for the killing of 1,100 innocent people in the riots.
A- In our previous interview, you said 900 people. Now you are saying 1,100. Are you adding all the people killed in other states like Maharashtra and Bengal to Gujarat’s account?
Q- So what is the correct toll?
A- There would have been no riots in Gujarat if there had been no Godhra.
…
Q-Do you accept that you failed to provide security to the people of the state?
A-98% of Gujarat would not have peace if we had failed to fulfill our duties. We managed to control the riots within 72 hours.
…
Q-Why don’t you accept that Gujarat is being defamed because of Narendra Modi?
A- If that is true, give the people of Gujarat a chance to pronounce their verdict through elections.”
As we see, the number of people killed in the riots jumped from 900 to 1100 after Narendra Modi’s previous interview, i.e. within 4 months! Now it has jumped from 9,00 to 2,000. May be after 10 years, at this rate it will jump to 10,000! Already it is being said that, “thousands of Muslims were killed in Gujarat” and “3,000 innocent Muslims were butchered in Gujarat”.
What these lies have done to well-meaning people
It is generally believed, even in the Sangh Parivar, that the post-Godhra riots were one-sided. Anil Nair, Organiser correspondent in Mumbai reported in the weekly, dated 20 February 2005 thus:
“On February 10, Pakistan finally gathered the gumption to tell us that it was both-in Ahmedabad over 2,000 Muslims were killed in riots. Such polemics are useless; Pakistan is working on the presumption that the Congress government will find it hard to choose between national honour and secularism, and by all measure it will choose the latter at the cost of the former.”
Smriti Irani, BJP member and TV actress (mind the word actress and not actor), also said that she would sit on a fast until death unless Narendra Modi resigned by 25 December to help the BJP get a secular image once and for all in December 2004.
Most leaders of BJP are also blatantly ignorant of the truth of the Gujarat riots. Whenever Congress leaders or anti-BJP journalists raise the issue of the Gujarat riots on TV, the BJP leaders like Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Nitin Gadkari, Gopinath Munde, Prakash Javdekar, Sheshadri Chari, Shahnawaz Hussain, Harsh Vardhan etc hopelessly fail to give befitting reply. They falter in speech. They merely try to point out that the Gujarati electorate gave a huge mandate to the BJP and to Narendra Modi in the December 2002 Gujarat Assembly polls, and mention the Godhra incident as a cause of the riots. None of them ever points out any instance of Muslim aggression, sufferings of the Hindus in the riots, police firing deaths, or the fact that only 60 places out of 18,600 saw riots. This is because of ignorance and blind belief on media lies.
After every terrorist attack, the national English media rationalizes this deed on grounds of the ‘Gujarat riots’. The Gujarat riots were the result of the Godhra massacre. That the English media justified Godhra (as a response to the Ramjanmabhoomi movement in Ayodhya), did not justify or even rationalize the post-Godhra riots (which were the direct result of Godhra) where Muslims were killed and ignored the killings of the Hindus, and it tried to and tries to de-link post-Godhra and Godhra. And it rationalizes and/ or justifies the (so-called) ‘reaction’ to the post-Godhra riots.
The very fact that some terrorists claim that they “plan to avenge the Gujarat riots” clearly shows the devastating consequences of the media lies. The media lies today about Gujarat riots being a ‘pogrom’ and instigates innocent Muslims to terrorism.
In March 2005, the Pakistan cricket team was on a tour to India. It refused to play a Test match in Ahmedabad on ‘political’ grounds, i.e. for ‘the killings of Muslims’ in that city. All this is clearly the result of stark lies concocted by the biased media, which it itself may have started to believe by now. All these lies and myths need to be thoroughly exposed.
That the UPA government, with Congress President and Italian-born and staunchly anti-BJP Sonia Gandhi as the UPA chief, and Communists as outside supporters, gave the figure of 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus killed in the Gujarat riots inside Parliament is something worth pondering about. These figures themselves may well be exaggerated given as they are by a Congressman, who works under Sonia Gandhi.
India Today weekly reported in its issue dated 20 May 2002, when the riots had almost stopped that “Total dead- 972″ (For details, see page no 70).
Out of these 972, India Today included 57 people killed in Godhra. If anyone sees the English newspapers of those days, i.e. between 10 to 21 May 2002, no riots took place in Gujarat in those 10 days at all, and the Army left Gujarat on 21 May. A maximum of 20 more deaths might have happened in Gujarat after that. The death toll in Gujarat riots would thus be 935.
I myself recall reading in Nagpur-based English daily The Hitavada that 936 people were killed in the Gujarat riots after the Army left Ahmedabad on 21 May 2002.
Adding the UPA’s figures of 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus, we have a total of 1044 people killed in the Gujarat riots, a 100 more. Hence, the true figures may well be 682 Muslims and 254 Hindus, a total of 936 people killed.
But let us, for argument’s sake, assume that the figures given by the UPA government are correct. Does that give anyone the reason to believe that more than 790 Muslims were killed in Gujarat? Why should the English dailies and the 24-hour news channels lie through the skin of their teeth that 2000 Muslims were killed in Gujarat? A total of 223 people are said to be missing. Out of them, how many are Hindus is also not told. The maximum number of people thus killed in Gujarat, assuming that all the missing are dead would thus amount to 1267. There is no scope for anyone in the world, including the human-rights organisations and the US-based religious freedom groups and the TV channels like NDTV and company to report that one more than 1267 people were killed in the Gujarat riots.
Despite this, Prafull Bidwai, a self-proclaimed secularist wrote in Nagpur-based English daily, The Hitavada’s Sunday magazine, Insight in July 2006, soon after the Mumbai blasts that killed 187 people in the city, that, “VHP, Bajrang Dal and the BJP butchered 2,000 Muslims in Gujarat”. And he was not the only one. NDTV, mouthpiece of a political party, and that too the CPI (M), a Leftist party, reported a thousand times during the Lok Sabha elections of April- May 2004 that, “2000 Muslims were killed in Gujarat”.
2,000 is the number of Muslims who carried out the massacre and gruesome roasting alive of 59 Hindus-including 25 women and 15 children in Godhra. It is not the number of Muslims who were killed in the subsequent riots. There is no justification for violence-and of even a single death-be it in Godhra or after Godhra. But why lie throught the skin of your teeth that 2000 Muslims were killed when only 790 were killed? Who gains by these lies? And it is everybody’s duty to correct the figure. The point is- what should be reported is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Show me a single instance, when Hindus were not tortured or had to face the warth of these moslems. Hindus were always tortured by them, they were always supported by Political Parties. Most of the politicians are symphatizers of Moslems. They can do anything and stoop down to any extent to safe guard their vote banks. Amar Singh for instance, in the recent Delhi’s Batla House Police Shootout, said that Police killed innocent moslems there and he will support Moslems with anything they ask for. This is a niche example of Hindu’s, who symphatize with Moslems and encourage them to keep killing other Hindu’s, as hindus are Kafirs for Moslems.
Vote bank of 45% (25% Christian + 20% Muslim) only is needed for any political party to get power in India (by dividing the Hindu vote). With proliferation and illegal immigration from Bangladesh, Muslims can be upto 25%, some say even 30%.

Maharashtra Proposal to Take Over Four Lakh Temple Trusts (Mosques Excluded)
The Maharashtra government is proposing legislation which will empower the state to take over all religious shrines.
If the legislation is enacted it will place all Hindu, Jain, Christian and Buddhist shrines under government control. The law, however, makes no mention of Aukaf land (Muslim religious bequests) which are located all over the state.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy once again publicly affirmed his family’s intolerance towards the Hindu religion by blowing up the Sunkulamma Temple in Obullapuram Village in Anantapur District. Jagan and his friend Janardhan Reddy used powerful bombs and grounded the Temple which is highly revered by the locals. Though some Congressmen claimed that Jagan did that as part of his illegal iron mining business, questions are being raised about whether he would have blown up a church under similar circumstances.
In Thondi and Rasathipuram Municipalities (in Ramanathpuram and Vellore Districts), the local bodies were secured by Muslims. Both Municipalities have denied civic amenities, funds for schools, garbage clearing etc., and sent notices in Urdu. Hindus were bluntly told to convert to Islam if they wanted civic facilities.
Wahabi’s (Saudi’s) are building madrassas all over India for immersion into militant Islam. Madrassas and mosques, particularly the Saudi Arabian supported Wahabis have little tolerance for Kuffars (those who do not follow Muslim religion). Muslim children are continuously taught that Hinduism is a false religion.

Use the media to dilute Hindu faith. An example is the recent show, Jyothi of Sabarimalai on NDTV, questioning the Hindu faith.
Strategies followed by media to degrade Hinduism.
Baripada Incident in Orissa: News that was splashed all over the media and the Internet, that a Hindu fundamentalist raped a nun, was found to be totally fabricated, upon later investigation. However, the media does not even bother to publish later findings. The initial news items are still being used to get more money from Churchgoers in West. Many such cases are engineered or full of lies.
Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati’s arrest on framed-up charges has a lot to do with his efforts in bringing Dalits into the Hindu fold by building Hindu temples in Dalit areas and engaging in discussions with them. (To this day no evidence
was found against him)
Seek out and convert temple building masons and architects, so that no new Temples can ever be built in the world. Convert people involved in the Hindu festival (e.g. Kumbh Mela) infrastructure, such as boatsmen, etc., so that devotees will be so inconvenienced as not to come for such Melas.
India needs more leaders like Shri Narendra Modi, who have a vision. A vision to see a Hindustan, a pure HINDUstan.

Vinayak, Aquil might have felt left alone as he was cornered. But he forgot the had the support of Admins and Moderators of this website too. I think Aquil would be back with a group of 1000-1500 Jihadi Moslems just like how they did in Godhra and plan an attack on us. Let us show them Godhra is an incident we cannot forget and we will never let it happen again.
They will never believe Nanavati Report or any other report, that proves that Moslems were behind the attack at Godhra. Show me a single instance, where in they have believed the reports. They never ever do accept the justice of the nation/Comissions.
It has been proven from time to time, that most of the apathies faced by Hindus are a gift of Moslems. Moslems always try to make sure that they inflict the much needed torture to Hindus. They never can live in peace and soverginity.

Aquil, I am enjoying your foolishness on many things. You are a person, who strongly defends that Jihad and Jidhadis are on the righetous path. There is nothing wrong in what they are doing. I also enjoyed reading your article on Jihad. Especially that last part “Maulana Wahiduddin Khan can be contacted on info@goodwordbooks.com.” Did you contact this Mulla and ask him Ideas to defend Islam. Did you ask him “Please Mulla, tell me what do I tell these Kafirs and defend Islam.” However, It was very informative about how cruel your intentions become once you say you are a Moslem. You want to instill fear in the heart of people, once they hear that you are Moslem and followers of Islam.
Moving on to the main topic, Do you really think Babri Masjid was not built on Ram Temple/Ram Janambhoomi? For your reference and to enhance your impeccable knowledge of Islam, I am citing a few of the testimonies, which your very own Moslem Maulana’s/Mulla’s gave in their books. You might fret at these testimonies and say that the cited Mulla’s/Maulana’s were not Real Moslems or They were also Kafirs. You guys can go to any extent of lying, just in order to hide your criminal motives and crime.
Muslim historians tell us on the authority of the Prophet that the mosques were established for the first time by Abraham. The mosque of Ka’ba, we are told, had been built by Abraham. Those who dismiss Rama as mythological gossip and deny him a place of birth at Ayodhya may well enquire whether the viability of Abraham and if he was a historical person who actually presided over the building of the Ka’ba.
During the time of Muhammad, Idols were smashed and temples destroyed or converted into mosques everywhere, Muslim poets vied with each other to record the events in rapturous verse.
Fazal bin al-Mulawwih sang:
“Had you seen Muhammad and his troops,
The day the idols were smashed when he entered.
You would have seen God’s light become manifest,
In darkness covering the face of idolatry.”
An instance to show how cruel intentioned your Moslems were and are:
Sultan Firuz Shah Tughlaq (CE 1351-1388)
Puri (Orissa) “Allah, endowed the king of Islam with the strength to destroy this ancient shrine on the eastern sea-coast and to plunge it into the sea, and after its destruction, he ordered the nose of the image of Jagannath to be perforated and disgraced it by casting it down on the ground. They dug out other idols, which were worshipped by the polytheists in the kingdom of Jajnagar, and overthrew them as they did the image of Jagannath, for being laid in front of the mosques along the path of the Sunnis and way of the musallis and stretched them in front of the portals of every mosque, so that the body and sides of the images may be trampled at the time of ascent and descent, entrance and exit, by the shoes on the feet of the Muslims.”
Another instance to show Hindu Idol’s were disgraced, demolished and discreated just to be put underneath the pathway of your Mosque’s:

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) “In AH 631 he invaded Ujjain and conquered it, and after demolishing the idol-temple of Mahakal, he uprooted the statue of Bikramajit together with all other statues and images which were placed on pedestals, and brought them to the capital where they were laid before the Jami Masjid for being trodden under foot by the Musalmans.”

Name Of The Book: Hindustan Islami Ahad mein (India under Islamic Rule)
Name Of The Historian: Maulana Abdul Hai.
About The Author: He is a highly respected scholar and taken as an authority on Islamic history. Because of his scholarship and his services to Islam, Maulana Abdul Hai was appointed as the Rector of the Darul Nadwa Ullum Nadwatal-Ulama. He continued in that post till his death in February 1923.
The following section is taken from the chapter Hindustan ki Masjidein (The mosques of India) of the above mentioned book. Here we can see a brief description of few important mosques in India and how each one of them was built upon plundered Hindu temples.
Qawwat al-Islam Mosque at Delhi: “According to my findings the first mosque of Delhi is Qubbat al-Islam or Quwwat al_Islam which, Qutubud-Din Aibak constructed in H. 587 after demolishing the hindu temple built by Prithvi Raj and leaving certain parts of the temple outside the mosque proper; and when he returned from Ghazni in H. 592 he started building, under orders from Shihabud -Din Ghori, a huge mosque of inimitable red stones, and certain parts of the temple were included in the mosque…”
The Mosque at Jaunpur: “This was built by Sultan Ibrahim Sharqi with chiselled stones. Originally it was a Hindu temple after demolishing which he constructed the mosque. It is known as the Atala Masjid..”
The Mosque at Qanauj: “It is well known that this mosque was built on the foundations of some Hindu temple that stood here. The mosque was built by Ibrahim Sharqi in H. 809 as is recorded in Gharbat Nigar”
Jami Masjid at Etwah: “This mosque stands on the bank of the Jamuna at Etawah. There was a Hindu temple at this place, on the site of which this mosque was constructed..”
Babri Masjid at Ayodhya: “This mosque was constructed by Babar at Ayodhya which Hindus call the birth place of Ramchandraji… Sita had a temple here in which she lived and cooked for her husband. On that very site Babar constructed this mosque in H.963 ”
Mosque at Benaras: “Mosque of Benares was built by Alamgir Aurangzeb on the site of Bisheshwar Temple. That temple was very tall and held as holy among Hindus. On this very site and with those very stones he constructed a lofty mosque, and its ancient stones were rearranged after being embedded in the walls of the mosque. It is one of the renowned mosques of Hindustan.”
Mosque at Mathura: “Alamgir Aurangzeb built a mosque at Mathura. This mosque was built on site of the Govind Dev Temple which was very strong and beautiful as well as exquisite..”

The fort was captured, and a Kotwal was appointed to take up his station in the fort, and all the idol temples were converted into mosques.”

“He then marched and encamped under the fort of Delhi…The city and its vicinity were freed from idols and idol-worhips, and in the sanctuaries of the images of the Gods, nosques were raised by the worshippers of one God. Kutub-d din built the Jami Masjid at Delhi and adorned it with stones and gold obtained from the temples which had been demolished by the elephants, and covered it with inscriptions in Toghra, containing the divine commands.”
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh)
“From that place (Asni) the royal armi proceeded towards Benares which is the center of the country of Hind and here they destroyed nearly 1000 temples, and raised mosques on their foundations and the knowledge of the law became promulgated, and the foundations of religion were established..”

“There was a certain tribe in the neighbourhood of Kol which had..occasioned much trouble..Three bastions were raised as high as heaven with their heads, and their carcases became the food of beasts of prey. That tract was freed from idols and idol-worship and the foundation of infidelity were destroyed”..

“When Kutub-d din heard of Sultan’s march from Ghazna, he was much rejoiced and advanced as far as Hansi to meet him.. In the year AH 592 (AD 1196), they marched towards Thangar, and the center of idolatry and perdition became the abode of glory and splendour..”

“In the year AH 599 (Ad 1202), Kutub-d din proceeded to the investment Kalinjar, on which expedition he was accompanied by the Sahib-Kiran, Shamsu-d din Altmash… The temples were converted into mosques and abodes of goodness, and the ejaculations of bead counters and voices of summoners to prayer ascended to high heaven, and the very name of idolatry was annihilated..”

“…(The Prophet), on him be peace, says ‘He who builds a mosque in the world, the Exalted Allah builds for him a palace in Paradise.’ In the auspicious time of the government and peaceful time of Mahmud Shah, son of Muhammad Shah, the sultan, the Jami’, mosque was constructed on the hill of the fort of Malun (or Malwan) by Khan-i-Azam Ulugh Khan…at the request of the thandar Kabir, (son of Diya), the building was constructed by the son of Ulugh Khan who is magnimonius, just, generous, brave and who suppressed the wrteched infidels. He eradicated the idol-houses and mine of infidelity, along with the idols… with the edge of his sword, and made ready this edifice… He made its walls and doors out of the idols; the back of every stone became the place for prostration of the believer…”

“The Blessed and Exalted Allah says, ‘And verily, mosques are for Allah only; hence invoke not anyone else with Allah.’ This edifice was originally built by the infidels. After the advent of Islam, it was converted into a mosque. Sermon was delivered here for sixty-seven years. Due to the sedition of the infidels, it was again destroyed. When during the reign of the Sultan of the time, Ahmad, the affairs of each Iqta attained magnificence, Bahadur, the Sarkhail, once again carried out repairs. Through the generosity of Divine munificence, it became like new.”

He constructed on its site a suitable mosque, towering above the building of all.”

4. Hammam Darwaza Masjid at Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, Its chronogram yields the year 1567 A.D. in the reign of Akbar, the Great Mughal
5. Jami Masjid at Ghoda in the Poona District of Maharashtra, The inscription is dated 1586 A.D. when the Poona region was ruled by the Nizam Shahi sultans of Ahmadnagar

23 Chatsu (Rajasthan)- At Chatsu there is a Muhammadan tomb erected on the eastern embankment of the Golerava tank. The tomb which is known as Gurg Ali Shah’s chhatri is built out of the spoils of Hindu buildings. The inscription mention saint Gurg Ali (wolf of Ali) died a martyr on the first of Ramzan in 979 A.H. corresponding to Thursday, the 17th January, 1572 A.D.

The materials employed consisted largely of the spoils of Hindu temples and many of the carvings from the temples have been used as facings of doors, arches and pillars

sorry i wrote jsr instead of jai shree ram, but jai shree ram as im seeing you are presenting the truth of muslims and islam in a very perfect and decent manner with proofs, your debate is very clean and perfect….but as you can see quil is not accepting the real fact, he is again and again denying the truth, and defending muslim cratures , he is looking at the world only through one vision that of islam, he really dont want to accpet the mistakes of muslims and islamic teachings, he and every muslim only knows to defent themselves, hide their faults, mistakes, give foolish explanations,and blame other people of other religions, and that is the reason why muslims are not changing atll from the time they have come to existance, and i think there are very little chances, may be no chance of changing them, but even though we will try our level best to show them a path of reality and humanity, jai shree ram, jai hind.
